Say ‘hello’ to Brave New Money

Brave New Money exists to give more women the knowledge and confidence to build wealth.

Long-lasting wealth rests on these three pillars:

Earning - This is the foundation of wealth. Without a solid income stream, you can’t cover your day-to-day needs or fuel the other two pillars. How much you earn is within your control. You can invest in your skills and qualifications. You can negotiate your salary, start a side hustle, or, if you’re running your own business, analyse your profit margins and tweak your pricing.

Saving - This depends more on your behaviour than on what you know. It’s all about controlling your spending habits. Even people with lower incomes can save by living frugally. While it sounds simple, in practice it’s harder to do. It requires a mindset shift and discipline, but also setting up systems to support you in achieving your financial goals.

Investing - This is about protecting the value of your hard-earned and hard-saved money. It’s about putting your money to work for you, so you can use it in the future, retire early, support causes you care about, or improve the financial lives of your loved ones.

All three pillars need to be in balance to build long-lasting wealth.

However, wealth is not just a certain number of zeros. It’s best described by less tangible things such as stability, independence, and optionality.

That’s why Brave New Money wants to give more women the knowledge and confidence to build wealth.

We do this by promoting financial literacy and fostering financial confidence through:

  • An inclusive and supportive community that openly discusses money.

  • A no-taboo, no-jargon, and no-judgement platform sharing information and tools on how to take control of your financial future, based on a holistic approach to building wealth through earning, saving, and investing.

  • Financial education and empowerment tailored to women, addressing the unique circumstances women face throughout their lives (more frequent breaks in employment, caring duties, etc.).

If you like what you’re reading, stick around and join the community. We wouldn’t exist without you!

If you would like to sort out your personal finances or need some guidance on how to start investing, schedule a free consultation with Jo.
